Orbán has the trust of the Slovaks
A recent survey by the opinion research institute Ipsos measured the Slovak population's trust in foreign politicians.
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and Czech head of state Petr Pavel enjoy the highest level of trust among Slovak respondents with 33% each. This is the result of a survey conducted in September on behalf of the Bratislava-based daily DennikN. Donald Trump came third in the trust ranking of foreign politicians with 27%.
Russian President Vladimir Putin and French President Emmanuel Macron share fourth and fifth place on the list with 25% each. The polarising effect of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi and Russian President Putin is remarkable: 46% of those surveyed firmly denied both politicians their trust.
