Ministry: Refugees getting health, hospital care
Hungary's government is providing health and hospital care to refugees fleeing Ukraine who need it, the human resources ministry said on Wednesday.
Hospital workers of Szabolcs-Szatmar-Bereg County, in north-eastern Hungary, have set up registration points at the border crossings, providing medical care to refugees and testing them for Covid, the ministry said in a statement.
If a refugee is not vaccinated against Covid, they are offered the jab, the ministry said. Those with chronic illnesses are ensured access to their life-saving medicines.
The health points are operating around the clock, the ministry said.
