Visit to UK, grand finale ahead in competition
Hungarian ALSAD health-app among Europe’s top tech scale-ups
As category winners in the semi-finals, ALSAD will be taken on an exclusive business development mission to the UK, as soon as the coronavirus pandemic situation allows. They will receive support from the UK government and its partners to help their business easily establish, grow and succeed in the UK. The awards are now entering the grand finale, where the best eight companies (category winners including Hungarian ALSAD) will battle to be crowned to be one of the top three winners (gold, silver and bronze) by high-profile judges at the end of March.
British Ambassador to Hungary Paul Fox said: “Technology and digital solutions are a key area for co-operation between the UK and Hungary. With the UK being the home of forward-thinking innovators, I am very pleased now to see an innovative Hungarian scale-up get the opportunity of further growth through access to a bespoke business development programme in the UK. I warmly congratulate ALSAD for becoming winners of their category in the competition”
The Tech Rocketship Awards Europe targeted established European scale-ups that offer innovative, technology-led solutions across a wide spectrum of industries and are ready to internationalise.
ALSAD CEO László Varga said: “Winning the Tech for Health category is an important recognition of our work in the past three years involving health and nutritional experts, and exploring opportunities in Hungary and Europe. It is also a great positive feed-back to the digital health economy, as well as patients with a chronic condition like chronic kidney disease, diabetes or obesity, who have already been using the app to monitor and enhance their health condition.”
ALSAD offers personalised, ongoing support for people with diabetes and/or kidney failure, based on the users’ individual health data. The app connects patients, clinicians and smart devices, while it is a data-driven and integrated digital solution capable of providing individual help and advice to patients, maximising the potential of maintaining their health.
The other seven category winners of the semi-finals of the Tech Rocketship Awards Europe were Kando of Israel in the AI & Data Revolution category, Surfly of The Netherlands in the Connected Consumers & Creativity category, eCollect of Switzerland for Digital Economy & Security, Inobat of Slovakia for Future Mobility & Travel, Breeze Technologies of Germany for Clean Growth (CleanTech), Connecting Food of France for Feeding Nations and RB Technologies of Estonia for GREAT Tech For Change.
