Bosnia-Herzegovina, Hungary pursuing agricultural cooperation
Hungary has established “very close, friendly relations” with the Serbian Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Szijjarto said on Facebook from Banja Luka.
He said Hungarian companies were seen as “serious players in important industries here”, and agricultural cooperation was most notable in this respect. As part of a joint support scheme, Hungary has provided 4.5 billion forints (EUR 12m) in a tender open to 768 farmers and agricultural entrepreneurs in the Republic of Serbia to buy farm machinery and tools manufactured in Hungary, he noted.
Szijjarto said Hungary was now launching a second round of tenders with a budget of 7.5 billion forints, giving Hungarian manufacturers “a serious opportunity to export their products here”. The scheme is part of an economic cooperation agreement signed today with Prime Minister Radovan Viskovic, he noted.
