“President Donald Trump’s stand for peace was the most significant moment in three years,” Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, said on Facebook on Saturday, following a meeting between the US and Ukrainian presidents.
“Yesterday made it clearer than ever who wants peace and who wants war, who seeks to end the bloodshed and who wants to prolong it at any cost,” Minister Szijjártó said.
“We hope President Trump succeeds in the US-Russia talks, as only an American-Russian agreement can restore peace to Central Europe,” he added.
