New flight connection to Leipzig
The city of Debrecen has announced that the airline Universal Air is offering return flights to Leipzig.
The offer with two flights per week will be activated at the end of March. At the same time, two flights a week to the holiday island of Malta will be possible. Unsurprisingly, the airline is based there. Flight days are Thursday and Sunday. Universal Air is still a new face in Debrecen. The company from the island previously tried a similar model via Pécs, more or less as a stopover on the way to Munich.
Debrecen set a tourism record last year with almost 700,000 overnight stays. Debrecen Airport already counted 220,000 travellers in 2024, not least thanks to the Lufthansa direct connection to Munich.
