Balaton Park to host MotoGP, Superbike races in 2025
Hungary's Balaton Park Circuit will host MotoGP and Superbike World Championship races next year, organisers said at the track on Thursday.
Balaton Park will host a round of the Superbike World Championship on July 25-27 and the MotoGP on August 22-24.
MotoGP and Superbike are returning to Hungary after a hiatus of more than 30 years as Balaton Park makes upgrades for its “Grade A” licence.
A ten-year race contract was signed, extending from 2025 until 2034, while Balaton Park signed a three-year cooperation agreement with the Hungarian Mobility Development Agency (HUMDA) of Szechenyi Istvan University on promotion and organisation.
Balaton Park Circuit is located in Balatonfokajar, near Lake Balaton, under 100km from Budapest.
