More than 22,000 people download Hungarian-developed English study app
Over 22,000 people around the world have downloaded Talk@Ease, an application that helps people improve their English speaking skills, Hungarian developer Digital Language Solutions has said.
Half of the people who have downloaded the app are Hungarians and the rest are foreigners. Digital Language Solutions wants to expand its presence abroad but will require more capital, the startup said on Wednesday.
The company established in 2021 has received 55 million forints in capital from Hiventures, the venture capital arm of the Hungarian Development Bank (MFB).
The startup said its AI-based app which uses a conversational approach to communication involving everyday topics could be adapted easily to other languages in addition to English. Digital Language Solutions has already launched a crowdfunding campaign to develop a version of Talk@Ease for German and aims to follow with a Spanish language version.
