Watch out for pickpockets at Christmas markets
At a press conference, the Budapest police warned of the dangers of Christmas markets, pickpockets and various property offences.
Uniformed patrols are present in large numbers at the Christmas markets. But plainclothes officers also mingle with visitors.
They have already gained a lot of experience in tracking down and arresting pickpockets and are therefore regularly called out to similar events abroad.
