Third Hungarian UNESCO department established
A UNESCO department in Hungary handling the management of water conflicts has been established at the National University of Public Service (NKE), the third UNESCO department to have been set up in the country.
Head of the Hungarian UNESCO national committee Miklos Rethelyi told the inauguration on Thursday that the new NKE department will be headed by Andras Szolossi-Nagy, who specialises in conflicts over water and their resolution. The professor spent 25 years as a senior employee of UNESCO, “so he knows the organisation from the inside”, he said.
