Szijjarto: Tougher action needed against Brussels pro-migration policy
Peter Szijjarto, Hungary's foreign minister, said on Facebook on Friday that it was time "to intensify our efforts against Brussels' pro-migration policy".
After talks with Norbert Hofer, the deputy leader of the Austrian Freedom Party, in the Austrian parliament, Szijjarto said Austria had faced “the dangerous and fatal consequences of migration many times in the recent period”.
“As far as Brussels was concerned, the terrorist attack in Vienna was not enough for it to change its migration policy,” he wrote.
The minister insisted that the European Commission’s migration pact with the African, Caribbean and Pacific countries now brought the risk of new waves of migration.
He said even stronger action was needed against “policies in support of migration”.
