Szazadveg: Novak seen as ‘positive’ presidential candidate
Katalin Novak, the ruling parties' presidential candidate is "well-known and popular" among respondents in a recent Szazadveg survey, the think-tank told MTI on Sunday.
Fully 92 percent of the respondents said they knew the candidate and 51 percent said they had a good opinion of her. Forty-two percent, however, held a negative view. Seven percent said they did not know or declined to answer.
Parliament will elect Hungary’s next president on March 10, in view of President Janos Ader’s term expiring on May 10.
Novak, if elected, will be the country’s first female president.
