Spa association seeks looser restrictions
Hungary's Spa Association has asked the government to stop requiring visitors to baths to present immunity certificates, the deputy head of the body said on public television on Tuesday.
Imre Kovacsics noted on news channel M1 that while visitors to spas must present a Covid immunity certificate, there is no such requirement for bathers at beaches on rivers and lakes.
He said all baths in Hungary could open by July 1.
Baths have retained 70-80 percent of staff, thanks to wage support from the government during shutdowns because of the pandemic, he added.
