Semjen: Strong Hungary guarantee of survival
Deputy Prime Minister Zsolt Semjen said the guarantee of Hungarians' survival was a strong Hungary, one with a will to continue and proud of its language, culture and history, marking the Day of National Cohesion in Zebegeny, northern Hungary, on Saturday.
Semjen, the head of the co-ruling Christian Democrats, said that Hungary also needed to be strong enough to protect its national interests as well as compatriots living outside of the borders.
Parliament declared June 4 the Day of National Cohesion in 2010. June 4 was selected to mark the anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Trianon in 1920.
