Second military aircraft evacuates 62 people from Israel
A Hungarian Armed Forces aircraft departed from Israel late on Friday, the second that day, evacuating 62 people, 46 Hungarians among them, the minister of foreign affairs and trade said.
This was the fifth flight by the Hungarian Air Force to evacuate Hungarian citizens from the conflict zone, Peter Szijjarto said on Facebook.
“Thanks to the rescue efforts of the foreign ministry and defence ministry, and the coordinated work of our embassies, 547 Hungarian citizens have already been helped to make their way home,” Szijjarto said.
“Since the armed conflict broke out in Israel, we have been working 24/7 to make sure all Hungarians in danger make it home safely.”
“Our colleagues continue to monitor the events closely and stand ready to help when required,” he said.
