Road police take action in close to 20,000 speeding cases over one week
Hungarian road police have stopped 6,663 drivers over speeding and recorded another 12,657 speed-limit violation cases under the European Roadpol Speed anti-speeding law enforcement campaign this month, the National Police Headquarters (ORFK) said on its website on Tuesday.
The weeklong campaign was carried out across the country between August 7-13 and was aimed at raising awareness as part of the Europe-wide campaign to the dangers of speeding, one of the main causes of fatal accident, ORFK said.
