Retvari: EP still for pro-migration proposals
The European Parliament has continued to submit pro-migration proposals to the migration pact with the aim to include in it an increasing number of exemptions on whom to grant easier entry to the territory of the European Union, the interior ministry's state secretary said in Brussels on Tuesday.
Speaking at a press conference after a meeting of EU interior ministers, Bence Retvari said coordination talks on the migration draft continued between the European Commission, the Council and the EP.
“The EU’s lawmaking body tries to soften up and make the draft more migrant-friendly and the European Commission wants to push it through before the European Parliament elections at all cost,” Retvari said.
