President sets date of EP, municipal elections for June 9
President Tamas Sulyok has set Sunday, June 9 as the date of the election of Hungary's MEPs for the next European Parliament as well as the date of the municipal elections, the presidential Sandor Palace announced on its website on Tuesday.
This will be the first time in Hungary that the EP and the municipal elections are held on the same day.
