Postal service issues commemorative stamp for Budapest sustainability expo
The Hungarian Post Office has issued a commemorative stamp to mark the Planet Budapest 2021 sustainability expo taking place from Nov. 29 to Dec. 5.
Addressing the stamp’s unveiling at the Sandor Palace, President Janos Ader, the expo’s chief patron, said the event would focus not just on climate change and the water crisis but also on the United Nations’ sustainability goals.
Ader thanked the Post Office for raising awareness of the Planet Budapest expo and the topic of sustainability.
The expo will include a sustainability conference of world leaders, international organisations, scientists and business players, as well as several programmes for visitors and will showcase innovative technologies supporting environmental sustainability, the president said.
He noted that Budapest hosted the World Water Summit in 2013, 2016 and 2019.
