Police find 90 migrants in Budapest home

Police officers discovered a group of 90 migrants in a family home in Budapest's residential 12th district on Thursday afternoon, the spokesman of Budapest police BRFK said.

The group consisting of men, women and children were found as a result of an inspection launched upon a citizen’s report in the facility, Soma Csecsi told MTI.

Most of the migrants claimed to be Turkish and Kurdish nationals but could not present appropriate identification documents, he said.

Police have launched legal proceedings on people smuggling charges, he said.

According to the website police.hu, the migrants were found in a property on Bela kiraly street.
