Police detain people smugglers, 22 migrants in Budapest
Budapest police in the 8th district detained two people smugglers who were transporting a group of 22 illegal migrants in their minibus in the early hours on Wednesday.
According to the police’s website, the migrants were Turkish, while the people smugglers were Azerbaijani and Georgian. Fully 15 men, three women and four minors were detained.
The smugglers tried to run away from the minibus but they were captured shortly after, the statement said.
