Pfizer delivers over 3.8 million Covid vaccine doses to Hungary

Pfizer has supplied more than 3.8 million doses of its Covid vaccine to Hungary so far, the pharmaceutical company's Hungarian branch told MTI.

The 23rd consignment delivered on Tuesday contained 330,000 doses of Comirnaty developed in partnership with BioNtech, Pfizer Gyogyszerkereskedelmi said in a statement.

A total of 1.3 million doses was delivered to Hungary in the month of May alone, it said.

Pfizer-BioNTech is expected to supply over 2.5 billion doses of its Covid vaccine worldwide by the end of 2021.

Romania opens vaccination point at border with Hungary

Romania has opened a vaccination point at the Artand-Bors border crossing station with Hungary, Bihar county health-care officials said on Tuesday. The vaccination point offers free single shot Johnson and Johnson’s Janssen Covid-19 vaccines to all European Union citizens and third country citizens holding a residency permit in Romania without preliminary registration. The recipients will get a Romanian vaccination certificate on the spot, local health authorities said.
