Parliament to vote on Kuria presidential appointment
Parliament will be in session for four days over the next two weeks, starting with a secret vote on Monday to appoint the head of the Kuria, Hungary's supreme court, with Andras Zsolt Varga, nominated by the president of the republic, the sole candidate.
A memorial service will be held on Monday for three recently deceased former members of parliament: Laszlo Mandur (Socialist), Sandor Szili (Socialist) and Attila Tarnoczky (Democratic Forum).
Following is a day of Hungarian-Bulgarian friendship.
On Tuesday, a government proposal to increase protections for victims of violent crimes against relatives will be debated. Also, government tax amendment proposals and the bill on family farms will be discussed.
On Wednesday, lawmakers will discuss the implementation and final accounts of last year’s budget.
