Orbán: Left-wing politicians want to deny being pro-war, ‘but everyone knows they’re in Soros’s pocket’
Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, the leader of the ruling Fidesz party, paid a visit to Budapest's 16th district on the campaign trail on Tuesday, the PM's press chief said.
Orbán held talks with district mayor Peter Kovacs at his office, before meeting voters at the Szentmihalyi Cultural Centre, Bertalan Havasi said. The prime minister told voters that with the elections approaching, left-wing politicians would prefer to deny that they were pro-war.
“But everyone knows that every single one of them is in [US financier George] Soros’s pocket. Both the old and the new ones,” Orbán said. “And he who pays the piper calls the tune.”
