Orbán: June 9 decisive in Europe’s history

Prime Minister Viktor Orbán visited Esztergom, northern Hungary, on the campaign trail for the June elections, his press chief said on Saturday.

Orbán held talks with local mayor Adam Hernadi and met voters, Bertalan Havasi said.

The prime minister said that June 9 this year would be a decisive day in the history of Europe. It will be a European election that future generations will remember as the election that decided the question of “war or peace”, he added.

On one side stands power and money and on the other the European people’s desire for peace, Orbán said, adding that June 9 will be perhaps the last opportunity to turn back on the road towards a third world war.
