One week left to register for EP election postal voting

Hungarian citizens without a postal address in Hungary or any other European Union member state still have a week left, until 4pm on May 15, to request registration for postal voting in the European parliamentary election, the National Election Office (NVI) said on Wednesday.

The election office will post the relevant package to registered citizens next week.

Those who request personal collection can do so at the specified location, which could be a Hungarian representative office abroad or border town, by 7pm on the day of the vote, the statement said.

Postal votes can be sent to the NVI, which must receive it by 7pm on June 9.

Votes can also be sent to or personally submitted to Hungary’s foreign representative offices abroad. In Hungary, the postal votes can be submitted at any election office or foreign representative office.
