No Hungarian casualties reported in Berlin accident
No Hungarian casualties have been reported in an accident in Berlin where a car drove onto the pavement, killing at least one and injuring another eight, a government official said on Wednesday.
Tamas Menczer, a state secretary of the foreign ministry, said the Hungarian embassy in Berlin was in contact with the police to obtain all relevant information.
According to German press reports, a Renault drove onto the pavement in a Berlin shopping area, hitting several people, and crashed into the window of a drugstore. The driver, a man, was arrested, the reports said.
