New substation for Soltvadkert

The MVM Group is modernising the electricity grid in Soltvadkert to meet the energy supply and the considerable energy requirements of new investments.

The MVM Group’s electricity grid companies are working on the modernisation and expansion of the existing 132 substations and the construction of new substations. Between 2023 and 2026, MVM Démász and MVM Émász will build new substations and modernise existing ones in Jászfényszaru, Jászberény, Gyöngyöshalász, Hatvan, Maklár, Miskolc, Mezőkövesd, Szeged and Szentes in addition to Soltvadkert.

Energy demand in Soltvadkert in the triangle between Kecskemét and Szeged has increased considerably in recent years. The existing grid infrastructure had to be upgraded in order to reliably supply the more than 5,000 customers in the town and the region as well as the new companies moving into the newly developed industrial estate with electricity. For this reason, MVM Démász has built a modern 132/22 kV substation in the south-east of Soltvadkert. The new plant will not only satisfy the increasing demand for energy, but will also enable the grid to meet the growing demand from private customers and companies for the installation of solar systems.
