More Gidrans on their way
Hungary relies on the Gidran armoured vehicles and wants to strengthen its armed forces with the joint Turkish-Hungarian development.
As Defence Minister Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky emphasised after his visit to the Turkish Nurol Makina plant, the Gidran project is one of the flagships of cooperation between the Turkish-Hungarian defence industry. In the field of force modernisation, this programme continues to be one of the most successful initiatives of the Hungarian armed forces and helps them to meet the new NATO requirements.
Another 56 Gidran armoured vehicles from Turkish production have just arrived in Hungary. The army vehicles are manufactured by Nurol Makina, and the additional electronics, communication, radar and weapon systems are integrated in Hungary.
