Momentum elects Ferenc Gelencser new leader
A meeting of delegates of opposition Momentum has elected Ferenc Gelencser as party leader, the party said on Sunday.
Gelencser was among the party’s founders, the party said in a statement. He has been the head of a local party organisation, worked as local council representative, deputy mayor of Budapest’s 1st district, and is currently the deputy group leader of Momentum in parliament.
The meeting will also elect an additional six members of the presidium later in the day, with mandates for two years, the party said.
