Mi Hazank: Parliamentary positions should be distributed ‘by bloc’

The positions in Hungary's next parliament should be distributed "by political blocs" rather than in line with the number of parties, the head of opposition Mi Hazank said on Monday.

Laszlo Toroczkai insisted that “three lists, three political blocs, three political powers” had won parliamentary seats in the recent election “rather than nine parties”. He argued that it had been each party’s own decision whether they would run individually or in an alliance in the election, and demanded that “the two opposition blocs” should receive equal positions.

Concerning the election itself, Toroczkai said “we cannot talk about systemic fraud” in connection with the vote.
