Latorcai: Skills must adapt to economic, labour market changes
The European Commission defined 2023 as the European Year of Skills, Csaba Latorcai, parliamentary state secretary of the ministry of public administration and regional development, noted, adding that the area was intertwined with various EU goals such as boosting competitiveness and social, economic and regional cohesion.
Veronika Varga-Bajusz, the state secretary for higher education, vocational and adult training and youth at the ministry of culture and innovation, said the aim of the European Year of Skills was to improve labour market adaptability, develop employee skills, while promoting the green and digital transition, endeavours of key importance for the Hungarian government and the education system.
