Kovacs: Hunting basis for sustainable environmental management
No sustainable environmental management can exist without "controlled and regulated" hunting, Zoltan Kovacs, the government commissioner for the "One with Nature" expo, said opening the International Hunting and Game Management Conference organised as part of the World Hunting and Nature Expo now under way in Budapest.
Kovacs said on Wednesday that the conference was aimed at raising awareness of game management as well as sharing Hungary’s know-how with other countries.
Noting calls for a ban on hunting in Europe and Africa, he said such “tense issues” will be discussed at the five-day conference.
