Kovacs: Hungary has zero tolerance of anti-semitism
Hungary has zero tolerance of anti-semitism also as it applies to terrorism-supporting demonstrations, the state secretary for international communications said on the X social media platform on Thursday.
Zoltan Kovacs responded to a recent post by US Ambassador David Pressman, and said it was not simply that “Jews are not assaulted on the streets” of Hungary. “Jewish life is enjoying a renaissance in Hungary,” Kovacs said.
“The harder you try, the more unsavoury it becomes, Mr. Ambassador. The time when anyone took your allegations of anti-semitism seriously is over,” he added.
Kovacs asked Pressman if he had seen what is happening in his own country, on university campuses, for example.
“No one can treat seriously your trying to teach us lessons,” he added.
