Kovacs: Fighting lies ‘everyday task’
Fighting against lies and distortions "is an everyday task", Zoltan Kovacs, the state secretary for international relations and communications, told participants of the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Budapest on Thursday.
Kovacs said unless the fight against lies was waged each day, conservatives would lose the narrative to liberals.
Referring to his podcast The Bold Truth About Hungary, he said he and his guests always meant what they said and spoke freely, and the podcast was his way of providing a conservative antidote to the “progressive virus”.
Meanwhile, Kovacs said Pope Francis, during his recent visit to Hungary, had given one of his most important speeches about family tradition and values, adding that “everyone should read” the speeches of the pontiff.
