Hungary to switch to summer time on Sunday
Daylight saving time will begin in Hungary on Sunday, March 27, with clocks going forward an hour.
In line with the rest of Europe, clocks will change to summer time at dawn so that 0200 becomes 0300.
The EU-standard change will slightly affect railway and long-distance bus transport timetables.
The switchover will affect the timetables of two international trains. The Dacia-Corvin expresses running between Vienna and Bucharest will depart from Berettyoujfalu in both directions with a 60-minute delay.
Hungary adopted the daylight saving system back in 1980. Under a 1996 government decree, summer time begins on the last Sunday of March and ends on the last Sunday of October.
