Hungary, China to cooperate on establishment of Fudan Hungary University
Fudan Hungary University will issue both Hungarian and dual Hungarian-Chinese degrees primarily in economics, engineering and medicine programmes, the ministry said in a statement.
As part of the project, Fudan University will also set up a hostel for 3,000 students, it added.
Fudan University will be China’s first ministry-run higher education institution to launch degree programmes outside of China, the ITM cited Laszlo Palkovics, the minister, as saying. The university’s presence in Hungary could help transform the country into a regional knowledge centre, he added.
The ITM and China’s education ministry have also signed an agreement on supporting Fudan University in establishing a world-class, research-oriented campus in Hungary, the statement said.
Fudan University is considered the 34th best university in the world, according to QS World University Ranking, it added.
