Hungarian hunter awarded Weatherby Award

Bela Hidvegi, a Hungarian hunter who was awarded the Weatherby Award for remarkable achievements in hunting and conservation, had also been an inspiration to the success of the Hunting Expo Budapest hosted in 2021, the state secretary for international relations said on Wednesday.

In his laudation at the award ceremony in Dallas, Zoltan Kovacs said Hidvegi also excelled in raising awareness of the “beneficial effects of ethical hunting and its contribution to the protection of wildlife.”
