Home rental rates in Hungary rise 23 percent in July

Home rental rates in Hungary rose by an annual 23 percent in July, data compiled by the Central Statistical Office (KSH) from listings site Ingatlan.com show.

Rental rates in the capital increased by 25 percent.

In a month-on-month comparison, home rental rates rose by 2.3 percent. The increase in the capital was 3 percent.

The monthly rental rate for a flat in the capital averaged 183,000 forints (EUR 450) in the first half of the year. In the west of the country, a flat could be rented for 136,000 forints per month.
