Hollik: Over half a million Hungarians sign ruling parties’ anti-Gyurcsany petition
More than half a million people so far have signed the ruling alliance's "Stop Gyurcsany! Stop Karacsony!" petition launched on Sept. 1 ahead of next year's general election, Fidesz's communications head said on Thursday.
“We launched the petition less than three weeks ago and have gathered the signatures of more than 500,000 people who clearly reject the left-wing political aggression represented by Ferenc Gyurcsany,” Istvan Hollik told journalists. He added that rejection of the former government’s “failed policy of tax increases and pro-immigration policy” was widely rejected.
He said the election next spring would decide whether or not the “Gyurcsany era of failure” would return.
