Gulyas calls on voters to ‘decide between war and peace’
Voters "will decide between war and peace" at June's European parliamentary elections, Gergely Gulyas, the head of the Prime Minister's Office, told a press conference held ahead of the ruling parties' national campaign tour on Monday.
“Voters supporting the ruling parties will delegate deputies that will speak up for peace in the European Parliament,” he said. “We will support peace whether in a minority or a majority.”
“There are many who want to get involved in the war or would increase the risk of a war,” he said.
Concerning the municipal elections, held at the same time with the European vote on June 9, Gulyas said “the stakes are high”.
