Gross wages HUF 568,300 in April
The average gross wage in Hungary rose by an annual 15.5 percent to 568,300 forints (EUR 1,531) in April, data released by the Central Statistical Office (KSH) on Thursday show.
Average net wages rose to 377,900 forints with benefits in kind, up 15.4 percent compared with the same period last year.
Calculating with consumer price inflation of 24.0 percent, real wages were down 6.9 percent, KSH said.
The net median wage including benefits was 306,700 forints, up 15.3 percent compared with the same period last year.
