Government supporting tourism competitiveness with HUF 15 billion
The government is providing 15 billion forints (EUR 38m) in subsidies aimed at enhancing the quality of tourism services and boosting the rural tourism economy, the national economy minister said on Tuesday.
The support package is about boosting the competitiveness of Hungarian tourism, Marton Nagy told a press conference.
Catering enterprises in the countryside will get 13 billion forints in support, while 1 billion will go towards updating tourist information offices. A further 1 billion forints will be spent on a scheme to preserve live Gypsy music in cafes, he said.
