Five health-care companies get support for investments
Hungary is becoming increasingly self-sufficient in the areas of ventilators and disinfectants, thanks to contracts signed with five Hungarian health-care businesses that are carrying out related investments totalling 9 billion forints (EUR 26m), Finance Minister Mihaly Varga said on Tuesday.
The investments will be carried out under the arrangements of the government’s health-care support scheme launched to ensure that supplies are available from domestic as well as foreign sources, he said on Facebook.
“Hopefully these developments will make us stronger, not only now but also in the face of future challenges,” Varga said.
Further contracts are planned to be signed under the scheme, and the aim is to allocate a total of 50 billion forints through tenders, he said.
