Fines for quarantine rule breaches raised

Lawmakers on Monday approved the new regulations which raise the maximum fine that can be levied for breaches of home quarantine orders from 50,000 forints to 150,000 forints (EUR 410).

Under the amendment, police are entitled to levy on spot also a fine of up to 150,000 forints for repeatedly breaching the rule of a mandatory use of a face mask, Kiss told an online press conference.
