Fidesz official calls for lifting secrecy of report on left-wing foreign financing
Fidesz group leader Mate Kocsis underlined his call for the lifting of the secrecy of a parliamentary security committee report on foreign funding of left-wing parties aimed at influencing the elections in Hungary.
“Today’s meeting of the national security committee has uncovered new developments on the issue … Much more money arrived from abroad, and the picture is getting clearer regarding domestic left-wing and liberal players,” Kocsis said on Facebook on Friday.
Under current regulations, the report remains confidential until December 31, 2052.
“I hope the report will be soon available for everyone as the issue in question includes unprecedented acts which seriously harm the country’s sovereignty, and everyone should know about them,” Kocsis said.
