Fidesz-KDNP on 49 percent, opposition 44 percent

Support for the ruling Fidesz party and its Christian Democrat ally stood at 49 percent among decided voters expressing an intention to vote in Sunday's general election, while support for the united opposition is 44 percent, according to the Szazadveg Institute.

Referring to its fresh survey based on interviews with 1,000 voting-age adults, Szazadveg said on Thursday that the Fidesz-led alliance had maintained a stable lead in the run-up to the ballot.

The satirical Two-tailed Dog Party and the radical Our Homeland Movement were each on 3 percent, Szazadveg said.
