EU court slaps down appeal against EC Minority SafePack decision
The Court of Justice of the European Union has rejected an appeal by organisers of the Minority SafePack, a European citizens' initiative, against the European Commission's decision not to proceed with new EU legislation aimed at protecting national and linguistic minorities, the Luxembourg court said on Wednesday.
The initiative aimed to improve EU protections of national and linguistic minorities and to strengthen the cultural and linguistic diversity across the bloc.
