EU affairs minister: EC publishes ‘adequate capacity’ requirement for border procedures

The European Commission on Friday published its implementing decision concerning "adequate capacity" for asylum procedures at the community's border under the new migration pact, Janos Boka, the EU affairs minister said on Facebook.

The pact, which Hungary opposed, requires Hungary and Italy to ensure “adequate capacity for the border procedure” totalling 15,332, more than half of all such capacity along the EU’s external borders, Boka said. Hungary is required to have capacity of 7,716 and Italy 8,016, he said.
