Election 2024 – President Sulyok: Votes ‘reflect democratic will of voters’
The ballots cast in the European parliamentary and local elections in Hungary "reflect the democratic will of voters", President Tamas Sulyok said after polls closed on Sunday.
Speaking at the headquarters of the National Election Office, Sulyok thanked everyone who participated in and helped to organise the elections.
The president said he trusted that mutual respect and empathy in everyday life would help people do everything they could to protect traditional European, regional, local, national and minority values.
